ABOUT ME<\/b>
I am a qualitative methodologist and learning technologist whose scholarship centers on interpretive epistemology, methodological ethics, and the socio-technical conditions of knowledge production in educational research. I completed my PhD in Qualitative and Quantitative Research Methodology in the Department of Applied Educational Psychology at Indiana University Bloomington\u2019s School of Education. \nMy academic foundation in Political Science and Public Administration at Middle East Technical University in Ankara continues to inform my engagement with power, marginalization, and epistemic justice in research design and representation.\nMy research advances critical and interpretive qualitative methodologies, including hermeneutic inquiry, autoethnography, narrative analysis, discourse and speech act theory, and reflexive methodological design. A central strand of my work examines the philosophical and methodological implications of generative artificial intelligence in qualitative inquiry. Drawing on Kantian ethics and socio-technical analysis, I investigate how large language models and related AI systems shape interpretive processes through ocularcentric, phonocentric, graphocentric, technocentric, and logocentric biases. I develop frameworks for ethically integrating generative AI into research workflows, emphasizing analytic rigor, transparency, and responsible human oversight in coding, categorization, and meaning construction.\nAs a learning technologist and instructional designer at the Indiana University School of Public Health, I collaborate with faculty on evidence-informed course design, assessment architecture, and principled technology integration. My work includes faculty development on generative AI literacy, ethical AI use in teaching and research, and the design of learning environments that balance innovation with epistemic responsibility. Methodologically, I employ qualitative data analysis software such as NVivo, MAXQDA, and ELAN to support systematic coding, multimodal analysis, and reflexive memoing across complex datasets. Across roles, I conceptualize qualitative research as a philosophically grounded and ethically accountable practice that responds critically to technological change while honoring the depth and dignity of lived experience.<\/p><\/div>
